In this Cochrane systematic review, the Cochrane Collaborative found some evidence that intensive case management can improve some outcomes for people with severe mental illness. However, researchers noted that it was hard to draw overall conclusions because of differences in the health care and social support systems of countries where the studies took place. They concluded that additional research tools are needed to for evaluating these types of interventions.
