Summary

People who can view their medical record online can better track and manage their health care. The 21st Century Cures Act aims to improve access to online medical records in a secure, easy-to-understand way. Strategies to teach health care providers and patients about using online medical records can help people get the information they need to make informed decisions about their health care.
