Summary
Having a strong, diverse, and capable public health workforce requires ongoing training. The Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals are a nationally developed set of key skills for people working in public health. Strengthening these skills — and using them to guide continuing education efforts — can help tribal health organizations make sure their workforce is effectively prepared to address public health priorities.
