Status: Target met or exceeded
Increase the proportion of adults with chronic kidney disease who know they have reduced kidney function
Summary
Most adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) don’t know they have it. Many people don’t learn they have CKD until they need dialysis for kidney failure. Research has shown that increasing patient awareness of CKD may lead to better management of the disease — and reduce related hospitalizations.
