Summary

In people with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD), kidney transplants are linked to higher survival rates and better quality of life than dialysis. But the percentage of patients getting a transplant within 3 years of starting ESKD treatment has gone down in recent years. Interventions that help more eligible patients with ESKD get kidney transplants can help increase survival rates and improve quality of life.
